How to settle accounts with freelancers via Useme?

How does the process of settling accounts look like?

1. Freelancer fills in an online form.

The process starts with the freelancer who fills in the online form containing: the clients' invoice data, the scope of the work, deadline and the payout amount. 

2. We prepare the contract proposal (for you - the client)

The completed form is sent to our verification. By using the data provided by the freelancer we prepare a contract proposal for you and send it to your e-mail address (the one that the freelancer provided in the form).

The email address contains a Confirm button. Clicking it means that you confirm the terms.

After clicking the Confirm button inside the email you’ll be forwarded to a page where you can accept the deal.

3. You accept the deal

How to accept the deal?

Log in to your email and find the message informing that the freelancer wants to settle accounts with you.  In this e-mail you’ll l find a link for confirming the contract. 

If you accept the terms of the deal, click on the link and confirm it with the Accept the deal button. We’ll automatically send you a pro forma to secure your contractor's fee.

You have 14 calendar days to approve the deal. After this deadline, the contract proposal will expire.

4. We send a proforma invoice and you pay

When you confirm the agreement, we will prepare a pro forma for a sum equivalent to the freelancer's gross salary, with Useme's service fee included.

You can pay it by bank transfer or by a quick online payment.

That's it! Your deal is active and the execution date has begun.  When the work is ready, we will notify you in a separate email.

After paying the pro forma, you will receive an invoice from us, and the freelance will proceed with the order. The invoice will be automatically sent to your email address when we record the payment on Useme account.

The remuneration paid by you will be waiting for the freelancer until he or she uploads the completed work. You can pay the pro forma by a traditional bank transfer or by a quick online transfer.

5. You check the work and we pay the freelancer

The freelancer uploads the completed work to the site. From now on you have 7 calendar days to review it and accept or submit corrections. Here you can check how to download, accept or reject the work. 

If you accept the work, we will pay the freelancer and you'll receive full access to the work. If the contract involves it, you’ll also receive a copyright protocol.

If the work does not meet the objectives or was done after the deadline, you will receive a refund and a corrected invoice.
