Why Useme needs the finished work
We base the contracts on a contract for specific work. That’s why we always need files attached to the contract. By uploading the work, you confirm that it’s finished and the files are proof.
You can also secure your work in Useme. All you need to do is to sign the contract before starting work. When you finish, upload the files to Useme. They need to be completed and match the description.
When you should upload the work
As mentioned above, you must upload your work to the contracts. When you should do that depends on the path you’ve chosen.
Invoice a client
Upload the files when filling in the form.
Sign the contract
Upload the files before the deadline and only after the client pays the deposit.
How to upload the work files
Invoice a client
Use this path only if your client has already seen and accepted the finished work. Upload the finished work in the second step of the form. You can check the types of files we accept here.
Sign a contract
Upload the work by clicking on the link in an email from us from your account in Dashboard → Deal → Open deal → relevant deal → Deal → Upload your work.
If the files you upload are the final version of your work, mark them as such - check Send as finished work. Then we will inform the client the contract is complete.
You can also send the work samples to allow the client to review the work before it’s done. You need to upload the finished work once it’s available.
The client has 7 calendar days to accept the project. Once they do, we will send you the payout within 3 days.
4. Can you send the files outside of Useme?
We can’t stop you from sending your files outside of Useme. However, we advise you to use our platform for your security. We can’t guarantee that the client will pay for your work if you send it outside of Useme before they pay the deposit. You do it at your own risk.
Useme tip: Do not send the work outside of Useme.
