At Useme, we rely on specific work contracts, therefore we need the result file to settle your work.
In this article you will learn:
- Why do we need your work
- When to upload the work to the contract
- How to upload a work to a contract
- Can you send the work of the Customer outside of Useme
In Useme we settle up with Freelancers in accordance with the law because we conclude a deal for each job. That is why we ask to attach the finished work to the deal: in this way you confirm that it has been performed and that there was no abuse.
The files attached are important to us because in case of a fiscal control we can prove at any moment that none of the parties violated the law.
You can also treat Useme as a platform for secure file exchange between you and your client. So, if you settle your deal via Useme because you want to secure the transaction, remember about the necessity of uploading your finished work to the service. Incomplete versions will not be accepted. The work that you will upload will be received by your client as complete work.
Remember, if the files you added don't match the description of a commissioned job, your client can question the delivered work and turn to us with a complaint.
Avoid uploading only fragments of work to Useme and delivering the whole of it to your client outside the service. You can lose your payment security and the guarantee of receiving remuneration.
Since we conclude the deal with you, we require your work to prove that it was truly done.
You can upload your work to our service in two ways:
- while completing the "Sign a freelance contract" form
- after the Employer has paid for the pre-invoice
You can sign the freelance contract with Useme at any stage of your progress with the work.
How to upload the work at the "Sign a freelance contract" stage?
Complete the first two parts of the "Sign a freelance contract" form, providing data for the invoice and details of the deal. Upload a file with the work in step 3.
If the Employer knows your work and accepts it, leave the "Acceptance of work by money transfer" field checked. It will speed up the settlement process of the deal.
How to upload work for an ongoing deal?
When your work is already finished, upload it to Useme via a link sent to you in a separate system message or directly from your account (My account → My deals → specific deal → Upload your work).
Then send us the proper file and, if it is the final version of your work, you must mark it as complete ("Send as complete work"). In this way, the system will mark the deal as finished and we will notify the Employer that he/she can access your work.
The Employer has 7 calendar days to accept the work and after that time, within a maximum of 3 working days, we will pay out the gross amount for the independent tax settlement.

Sending you work to the Employer outside of Useme while you are settling the deal is not against our terms and conditions. However, we highly recommend you don't because of security reasons. If you send your work to the Employer outside our service before the preliminary invoice has been paid, we cannot guarantee your money.
