The Useme system blocks activities that may be potentially dangerous for Users - you may have come across this article because we sent you a warning email. Read the following tips on what is allowed and what to avoid.
Behaviors that violate the regulations: entering contact data and settlement data outside Useme.com
We receive reports that the other party has persuaded you to provide external contact or off-site billing. Please remember that this has prevented you from using a secure payment. This way you risk getting the job done but without payment.
Useme tip: Remember that a Useme secure payment works only if both the settlement and agreement of the details of the contract is done using Useme.
Behaviors that violate the regulations: spam
Useme tip: Stick to sending messages when making contact with the other party - no one likes to talk to the robot, and unreal valuation does not increase your chances of getting a job.
Who will not recieve a warning mail?
Our Users who settle contracts - all you have to do is settle one contract every three months and the alert will not be sent.
The alert system has been deliberately constructed for "spammers" and other non-compliance with the Regulations - if you use the website honestly, you have nothing to fear. You can also get a link to the article if another User reports your behavior as suspicious.
Every day we work on developing the site to make it even more secure and user-friendly. And just like on the websites intermediating in the sale of products (eg Allegro) you cannot arrange payment "under the table" to avoid the commission of the site, we work in a similar way - you agree to it, when you set up an account you accept the Regulations (link) of the website.
Useme tip for Freelancer: Remember that you have the right to wait for payment of the pro forma invoice before starting work - thanks to this you minimize the risk of being cheated.
Useme tip for Empoyer: Remember that by paying the pro forma invoice, your payment is secured until the delivery of the work, which you accept or reject if it does not comply with the terms of the contract. Thanks to this, you don't have to agree to suspiciously large, non-returnable advances.
What to do if you preffer to talk by phone?
You do it at your own risk - theoretically, in Polish law a verbal contract is also a contract, but it is extremely difficult to prove any arrangements between the parties ("word against word"). Therefore, when you decide to use the Useme message system, you get the opportunity to mediate the dispute with site administrators, and the arrangements in writing are indisputable.
