Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Useme account. It requires a password and a code sent to your email or generated by an app on your phone. 2FA helps protect your account even if someone steals your password.
1. How to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Go to Settings → General
- Find the two-factor authentication (2FA) section.
- Click Turn on to start the process.
- Select authentication method
You have two options: 2FA mobile app or email.
- Setting up 2FA via email:
- You will receive a 6-digit activation code via email.
- Enter this code in the designated field and click Continue.
- Setting up 2FA via app:
- Download a two-factor authentication (2FA) app from Google Play or the App Store.
- Open your 2FA app, scan the QR code on the screen, or enter the 32-digit key manually.
- The app will generate a 6-digit verification code.
- Enter this code in the designated field and click Continue.
2. How do you use two-factor authentication (2FA) when you log in?
- Log in to your account.

Enter the verification code:
- If you set up 2FA via email, the code will be sent to your email address.
- If you set up 2FA via the app, open the app to find your code.
- Enter the 6-digit code in the designated field and click Verify.
3. What to do if something goes wrong?
- You didn't receive an email with the code
Check your spam folder. If the email is still missing, click send again. This option refreshes every 60 seconds. If you are still waiting for an email, contact us.
- You received an incorrect code message
Make sure you enter the correct 6-digit code. If the code still doesn't work, try again or contact us.
